Alien China's approach is fundamentally historical: things develop the way they do because they developed in other ways at earlier points in time. By training and temperament, then, we feel that the best way we can contribute to understanding the topics we're treating is by situating them clearly in time. With that in mind, here is the very beginning of a detailed historical timeline of UFO and alien experiences in China and other Chinese-language contexts, UFO and alien studies organizations, related “official” scientific fields (astronomy and other forms of space science, rocketry, astrobiology, SETI, and so on), and the connections between all of these and broader trajectories of modern Chinese history.

This is only the barest outline of what this timeline will eventually include, and it will be updated regularly. As we add material, we will also add search and filtering functions soon.
